CPU overclock voltage issue?

Hello, I have an i5-4690k @4.5 GHz w/ a voltage of 1.250. I was previously at 1.3 Vcore, then turned it down to 1.250 to see if I could get some better temps, which I did, but now every game I run is microstuttering.

But why is this happening? I simply reduced the Vcore from 1.3 to 1.250, then bam, it's a microstuttering breeding ground on games like BF1. Can anyone explain?

Thanks.

Im no overclocking expert but i have hit 4.5 on that chip myself and i can say that lowering the Vcore from 1.3 to 1.250 probably did it. When i did this my effect was that my games would crash after about 20 minutes give or take 5 minutes, without fail. I had to go to 1.295 to keep a stable 4.5Ghz
