cpu overclocking with blue screen

asus rampage IV extreme
i7 3930k
16 gb ram
gtx 780 ti
custom liquid cpu cooling

i'm kinda of confuse so i thought i overclock my cpu to 4.7 and install a asus gtx 780 ti everything was fine for 2 days no problem. now after i got home from work i decided to turn my computer on and what do you know blue screen



so i just went to the asus uefi and load my stock config and it's back to normal again.

did i do something wrong? i follow a guy from youtube that had the same thing as my build and that's how i manage to get it to 4.7


how do you properly overclock a cpu? even the cpu level up don't really work or even the asus uefi.

help please

You properly OC a CPU by setting a target frequency and vcore until it is stable, but I guess you already did that.
What is the name of the BSOD you are getting? not all the BSODs can be related to the core clock or voltages. Have you tried running a stress test without the GPU in the system?

Not all CPUs are created equal. Just because it'll work for him doesn't mean it'll work for you. Your BSOD code is 0101 which is to add more v core. What program were you using to test for stability? Up the v core by .005 and try again.

no i have not, i actually had a gtx 680 when i overclock the cpu to 4.7ghz and everything was fine. now i install a gtx 780 ti and it was good for 1 day and when i got home from work i turn my computer on and i got the blue screen. i'm thingking maybe when i change the GPU i needed to reset my CPu to factory and overclock it again once i got the gtx 780ti install. could that be in. maybe the reason why i got the blue screen is because i did not reset the cpu to factory default before changing the GPU.
