CPU overclocking

a quick question in case i've missed something over the months. Wasn't the AMD athlon cpu's supposed to be locked at its factory speed? I am planning on buying a 900 TBird for my new comp. Can i overclock this sucka? I'm planning on using the A7V133 Asus board.... thanks in advance... Jon.

it's all locked now. but amd made it easy for us to unlock the multiplier. all you need is a pencil. go to overclockers.com and you'll find an article on unlocking an athlon.
