Hey guys! Today I was very excited to install my very first AIO cpu cooler. Installation went fine, but after I booted up my PC it froze after a few seconds. I went into the bios and it said the cpu was runnig at 100C°. I turned the cooler upright (because it wasn't, due to cable mgmt issues) and than I ran a stress test (for 10 mins under full load)and it didn't freeze. After I left my PC to do something else I came back about half an hour after the stress test. As I booted my PC up it and froze again as it did before. Please help!

Btw specs: CPU: i5 6500
Mobo:MSI Z170a SLI plus
Cooler: Deepcool Maelstrom 120T

Solution
An aftermarket cooler isn't necessary for the power-sipping i5 6500, I expect it was probably pretty quiet with the stock cooler?

Regardless, the only reasons your new cooler might not be cooling the CPU properly are if it wasn't installed correctly, or if the pump isn't running.
you sure you properly applied the thermal paste?
and have the CPU plate attached correctly? too loose or too tight can lead to problems.100°C is very high.
if you are absolutely sure:

install a temperature monitor and keep an eye on it for a moment through boot and some regular usage. something like Core Temp.
