So, almost everytime i play a video game on Steam eventually (or relatively quickly) my computer will freeze and out of the speakers will come a loud buzzing noise. Sometimes before it freezes i will hear the buzzing which i know foreshadows the coming freeze. My CPU is also extremely hot when this happens. I'm suspecting it to be a CPU overheating problem. Yet i wish to know exactly WHY this is happening and what i can do to fix it. Thanks, guys!

My Specs:

GPU : GeForce GTX 760
CPU: AMD FX(tm)-6300 Six-core processor
Memory: 8.00 GB RAM
Current resolution: 1920 x 1200, 59Hz
Driver version: 364.72
Operating System: Windows 10 64bit
HDD: WD Blue 1TB, 7,200 rpm
PSU: Diablotek DA series 600W (not the best)
MB: MSI 970A-G46

Check your temps. Your CPU shouldn't exceed 65C while stress testing/gaming. If higher than that, check to see that the cooler is mounted properly, clean and the fan works. You may need to remove it and clean off the old thermal paste, apply new and reinstall. If overclocking, set the CPU back to stock speeds.

Sorry for the late reply everyone! Thank you for the feedback. So i have in fact been using Core Temp and my CPU temperature hasn't exceeded 65c. The highest i have seen it is around 58c but i will double check that stat and come back to let you guys know. Tomorrow I'm gonna buy some thermal paste and clean around the CPU and the heatsink and let you guys know how it preforms thereafter. No, i haven't changed any settings in the BIOS or overclocked it, ever.
I'll be back tomorrow to let you guys know how it goes!
Thank you, Maja.
