when i play games where cpu usage is high the cooler gets pretty loud and after 10 mins it starts overheating and its even louder.. what is the problem?
i5 4590 gtx 970 my case is silentiumpc brutus m25 and i got one case fan inside it and my motherboard is asrock h97 pro4 and when i was looking in the bios in a tab called h/w monitor it had set "standard mode" as default so i changed it to customize and this was really stupid like for 50 degress it was set to run 60% fan speed 60 degrees 70% and so on
That case should come with a front 120mm intake fitted & the 120mm exhaust prefitted in the rear.
If it didn't then get in touch with the supplier & demand a 120mm fan for it mate - any reasonably mid to high spec PC needs a minimum of a front intake & a rear exhaust.
I would also say that those fan speed percentages you listed for the 'customise' option are about what id want to be using for a stock Intel cooler personally.
ok but anything above 60% is quite annoying with this intel fan and even when its set like that or higher it overheats will more case fans make a difference?
More air being pulled into the case means more air the exhaust can suck out. More air means each unit of air has to absorb less total heat to cool the system, and that heat is removed faster.
It's going to make it easier to keep the temps down below where the fan gets noisy.
