Well I have an old laptop which I plan to use for a secondary option if all of my main PC fail but, suddenly it started turning off randomly and overheating to the point it was barely touchable, but I remember it always was that hot but it never turned off, can this be caused by malware, by overheating the CPU?, I checked the fans and they were clean

Solution
It's possible. Some malware has been known to mine cryptocurrency with the CPU.

Install and run this https://www.malwarebytes.com/

and whatever anti-virus you have.

Well, it was, (removed it all i think), but it was weird because you turned it on and inmediatley after the boot after being logged it would turn off, but If you turned it back on after it, it wouls just work without restarting.
