I just bought a card yesterday HD 7790 1GB, and im getting fps drops in game like Fortnite, i have 100+fps, sometimes i go in town i get 50FPS. Also if i change resolution from 1920x to 1280x my fps doesnt change... it is becuase of my CPU overheating? I have AMD Stock fan, i dont have thermal paste on processor, Idle my cpu has 50C, in game 80C. Or my cpu is bottlenecked? Or its thermal throttling

Im going to buy soon new fan and thermal paste too, maybe that will fix my problem, what you think?

My specs:

CPU: AMD A10-7800 3,6GHz 4 Core
GPU: HD 7790 1GB 128Bit
PSU: 400W
RAM: one 8GB 1600Mhz, and one 4GB 1600Mhz, so 12GB

I would suggest applying some thermal paste, I use arctic silver 5 or thermal grizzly both are really good IMO and see if your fps drops continue, but I think your cpu will be throttling due to heat

Yes, your CPU is overheating, due to lack of thermal paste as mentioned above. You shouldn't even turn your PC on without thermal paste, let alone game on it.

i was thinking the same, how has it not melted whilst trying to boot. I completely agree with TJ you shouldn't even switch the system on without thermal paste the CPU could possibly melt
