I have been using this pc for almost a year now, but I changed my core to an I5 6600K and cooler to a Corsair H100i v2 for about 5 months now. While I was playing CSGO I loaded into a new match and then my pc started lagging heavily. It has never done this before, so I restarted my PC too see "press F1 to go into BIOS" "CPU OVERHEATING" I attempted to test my core on my friends build and it worked perfectly fine but when I tried his core on my PC (I5 6402P) it did the same thing, it overheated to about 90C. I am lost now and all my solutions has failed, I cant use my PC for more than 30 min because of the insane performance drop and thermal throttling, it just immediately thermal throttles to 100C at about 45 seconds of use. PLEASE HELP.

Best Regards ~Verox

thermal paste? most likely a faulty CPU cooler.
