CPU overheating when PC is upright

So I think I have a very bizarre problem,

My CPU massively overheats when my PC is upright, it reachers temperatures of 80+ degrees celsius! It reaches this temperature after about 45 seconds of being upright and I do not see how hot it gets because I do not want to run the risk.
When testing this all I had open was Chrome so it's not like I had a demanding game open.

Also, whenever my CPU reaches about 70 degrees it seems my internal speaker on my motherboard makes a continuous buzzing noise, is this just a warning?

Thanks!

Solution
1. are you using an aftermarket cooler ? if so, make sure you tightened the screws hard enough to provide perfect contact between sink and cpu.

2. if its stock cooler, maybe somehow you broke the brackets where it tightens the sink and the fan onto cpu?
when you touch and try to move the fan/sink do you feel if its slightly moving? you may end up breaking the pins which you stick them on motherboard somehow if you ever opened the case to clean/install new parts...

3. maybe when you are using it upright, some cable or another sagging part blocks the cpu fan ?

Go into the BIOS and check if the CPU Fan is working

It sounds like the heatsink/fan for your CPU is not installed properly.

Thanks guys, my CPU fan wasn't perfectly tight, it wobbled quite a bit!

Problem solved :)
