I'm not exactly sure if the post should go here or not, but I'll go ahead anyway. My PC has never had an issue with overheating before. I recently started playing Final Fantasy XIV A Realm Reborn and my computer started getting really, really loud. I assume that came from the GPU fans increasing speeds. After checking temps, my CPU was at 40c and my GPU was around 55-60c. Then, the computer got louder, and louder, and louder and then shut off completely. If I removed the power and put it back in, the computer would only turn on for a split second, then shut right off. After about 30 minutes, it finally worked. It overheated a second time but was able to start right back up. Today, it overheated AGAIN (I really need to stop playing this game, but I don't want to waste the membership.) and it's been an hour and it won't turn on. I opened up the case and it's all very clean inside. At first, I thought it was the GPU but maybe it's the CPU or even the power supply. Did something fry or die? I'm worried this thing broke.
