My CPU keeps overheating when doing larger task.
For reference, I have a i7-7700k, stock clocks at the moment. I've had it for about 2 years now. It was working fine, temperatures around 35C idle with a TT Riing Floe. My case is a LianLi 011 Dynamic.
Decided to dust and replace the thermal paste (I've done it a lot of times, grain of rice method, ect). Noticed that my temperatures were higher by ~5C. Let the paste settle and it went back to around 32C.
Then I started doing some video editing and photo editing and light gaming. Lately, my PC goes to 90+ doing this and idles at 55C. I've replaced the paste, checked the cooler, made sure no fans or filters were clogged. Everything looks fine.
I'm at a loss now. Any help would be appreciated.
