I have a prebuilt pc by msi and recently my cpu has been getting hotter than before. The fans also have to work harder than usual to keep the pc cool. The pc is about 6 months old. I'm thinking the thermalpaste could somehow be bad but i'm not sure. I would appreciate any help.

cpu: Intel core i7-10700
gpu: Rtx 2060
ram: 16g
1tb:ssd
motherboard:H410M PRO

Hi

Several issues are probable, in order of likelyhood:

CPUcooler has come loose/ not properly mounted
Too much dust or bad airflow
Coolerpaste needs replacement

I would open the case and remove any dust
manage your cables for optimal airflow
and remount the cooler and redo the thermal paste

That should do it
