Question CPU Overheats then freezes.

Hello there. I have installed a new CPU, a new motherboard and some new ram lately and I am experiencing some issues. I have 2 fan cases and a CPU cooler with 2 fans, I attached them at full fan speed but my CPU still keeps overheating leading to freezing it. I have tried many ways to prevent it, but it still overheats when I am gaming. I have Windows 10 Pro 64-Bit installed on my PC. Here are my motherboard, CPU and my RAM:

45-60C+ when the PC is idle, a friend of mine has a PC and it's 11-20C when it's idle, also my friends PC have been closing for no reason.

An idle temp of 60C is quite high! How old is your CPU? Did you bought an used CPU?

Your TX3 uses push pins, one of your push pins may not be locked down right. What is your Case (how wide for heat sinks?) so I can make some recommendations on heat sinks. I like the Coolermaster 212LED but it is 159mm. Should be around 37C Idle, If your friends is 11-20C he must have a liquid chiller on it

Those values are fishy at best!
How do you get those temperature? Overdrive is the only program that can properly read FM2+ chipsets and it cannot give actual chip temperature. What it does give is the thermal margin, which is the room left before hitting thermal limits. If this is the values that you got, that means that your PC is runing idle 45-60C below its thermal limits, whereas your friend is only 11-20C away from those limits.

An idle temp of 60C is quite high! How old is your CPU? Did you bought an used CPU?

I bought it 2 years ago and it's unused as my old motherboard did not support it.

I don't think this is a good thermal paste. Can you use a thermal paste from reputed brands like Noctua, Coolermaster etc. ?

The kind of thermal paste doesn't matter that much - you can use TOOTHPASTE(not recommended), as long as you have some something filling in the microscopic gaps in the 2 separate metals preventing air from being trapped.

OP, what are you using to check temperatures? Use either Core Temp, or AMD Overdrive.

Push-pin coolers are bloody tricky to get done right. You need to push in 2 at a time, in a diagonal, or 'X' formation, and each pin should produce a loud 'CLICK', or it's not secured.

I am using MSI afterburner, but I will try the ones you sent me. I guess I will try the pins again.

I set them at 100%, all of my fans are fully working but still my pc goes too high when idle.

the base Clock of 4.1 is kind of high and does make it harder to cool than a cpu with 3.1 / 3.2 GHz.
try this. go into Power options and change Power setttings then change advanced Power settings. find processor maximum state and set it to 96or 95 percent this will underclock it .
check if you get lower temps bby doing that if you do this means that your cooler cant
handle the base Clock at 4.0 GHz.
be quiet pure rock should do the job if this cooler doesnt. it also has backplate that you have to attach on backside of the board then use screws to hold it.

Thank you, that works fine, if it keeps freezing I will refer back to you guys. My pc's cpu temperature dropped from 35-60C when idle to 20-35C when usable. Again, thanks.
