I've seen a few posts regarding this question before, but I was wondering if it's still fine to use my desktop regardless of the error. I'm getting an overvoltage error for my cpu every time I boot up. I reset my CMOS battery, but the error persisted. For some reason, the new voltage numbers that it reports are the exact same as those that had the issue online. I used the amd ryzen master software to check the voltage, and it reported that the voltage was normal. I was wondering if this means the bios is just misreporting and if so, are there any fixes to this without replacing the motherboard? For context, I've been using the same PSU for 3 months now, and I recently changed my case resulting in me possibly damaging the motherboard. After booting up with the new case, I ran into the overvoltage error. I've also been using the PC for some time now, and after monitoring the performance and temps, I've noticed no effects.

Specs
CPU-ryzen 5 1600af
gpu - rx 570
mobo - asus tuf b450m plus gaming
psu - corsair cv550

Voltage via Bios:

12v=16.677
5v =6.948
3.3v = 5.559
cpuv = 2.4

amd software:
cpuv:1.193

Noted:

3.3v = 5.559

Do you have a multi-meter and know how to use it. Or know someone who does?

FYI:

Test the PSU. If the voltage is indeed 5.559 vs 3.3 then that voltage is way out of tolerance and the PSU likely needs to be replaced.

Just as a quick question in the meantime. When you changed the case did you double check all cable connections between motherboard and all other components.

PSU is not modular if I understand correctly. However I would be remiss if I do not ask if you mixed and matched in cables from other sources?

Refer to the applicable User Guide/Manuals for all installed components: motherboard, PSU, Case,etc. to verify that all cables and connections are correct.

I don't have access to a multimeter right now, but I redid all the cable connections just to make sure. I don't really know if this is helpful at all, but I've linked a few photos from hwinfo. Is it worth getting a multimeter to ensure that it isn't the psu that's the issue so no further damage can be caused, or should I try updating my bios?
