Question CPU performing way below expectations (6%)

I just installed an i5-9600KF and im getting terrible results in userbenchmarks. 4-8% avg.... Why is that so? Low cpu-background
. Im also getting 2350 in chinebench i don't know if thats good or bad

If it's a new installation of Windows 10, did you install all the motherboard drivers yet?

I'm not sure arent the installs automatic?

No, not always. On newer and older hardware the Windows updater will usually pick the last approved driver which isn't always the latest or best. You need to go download all the drivers for your motherboard and install them. If there are RAID drivers, skip them, you are unlikely to need them.

Edit - Make sure you also download your graphics card driver as well if you have one installed.

Why would the OP start with a new Windows install when they likely never installed the motherboard and probably the GPU drivers?

I just went into bios and reset settings to optimized defaults and now i get 65% not 6% like before. I don't know exactly what caused it tho
