Question CPU pins damaged, MoBo dead - other parts dead too?

Hi Guys,
on my old PC I wanted to upgrade the CPU, but bent some pins while trying to put the heatsink on it by (probably) applying too much force or maybe incorrectly put it in in the first place. As a consequence, one CPU pin got stuck in the MoBo, which I managed to get out, and one other pin is bent.
Unfortunately after this, the PC won't post or do anything when I try to turn it on, even if I change the CPU, so I am assuming the MoBo is dead.
When I power the PC back on, the LED's on the MoBo still come on.
Before I buy another motherboard, does anyone have similar experience with this, and can tell me if the other components (GPU, RAM etc.) have likely survived?

Which CPU are you using, Intel or AMD? If it's an Intel CPU, then it's the pins on the mobo that are damaged and can't be boot, which usually doesn't cause the GPU, RAM, and other devices to fail, but of course only when your new mobo comes and then look at the specifics.

Sorry the system is as below
Ryzen 5 1600 and I was trying to upgrade to Ryzen 5 2600X which was damaged
AsRock X370 K4 Gaming
GTX 1080
16GB DDR4 RAM
Corsair 650W PSU

That's a shame, if it's AMD it means the CPU is damaged too, and while a few pins are repairable, they're usually expensive and probably not worth it.
Of course you still have hope that the rest of the hardware isn't necessarily damaged.
