CPU power help?

Is it safe to plug both the 8-pin and 4-pin power into my mobo?

You should only need one or the other, normally 8 pin today. If you have an extra 4 pin connector it is only for extreme overclocks, does not hurt anything.

Well Im using a six-core CPU from intel So should I plug them both in?

You should only need the 8pin but does not hurt to plug the other one in since the CPU pulls just the power it needs no more no less.
