I recently bought a new PC last year with a custom build. An amd a4 cpu with a gigabyte board. Until yesterday, it was working fine when I tried to start it again in the evening, it powered on but I couldn't get any display. The monitor gives the message 'no signal' and shuts off. The indication lights on my PC are all lit, although the red HDD led doesn't light up on the start and remains off most of the time. Tried removing the ram and powering on, got no beeps.
I should mention that this is the second time in a year this has happened. The last time, the issue was the same and it turned out to be a faulty PSU. Could it be the culprit this time too? The cpu and board are both relatively new, so them failing is a very distant possibility.

Well yes, it is a cheap PSU alright. Its some local brand called XTech. Makes pretty cheap, unreliable supplies. My dad usually picks them because of their very low price. Infact, the one i have is a replacement I got from the previous one's existing warranty period. If it is the PSU, I guess i'm going to have to go with a better brand now. Anything which you suggest which are good and also affordable?

Hmm Thanks. Gonna look this up.
