Question CPU price rise?

CPU prices in Canada are going up from what I see. Is it because of corona?

A couple months ago I could find a 3800X starting 300$CA free shipping from Amazon. Now the cheapest is 450$CA. Why is that?

300 CAD for a 3800X is madness... how do you guys get them them so cheap.
You should be thankful even with 450 CAD... it's a steal.
For reference, I live in Europe and the 3800X oscillates at 600-650 CAD(equivalent) ... in my country the average salary is much lower compared to Canada, so yeah... pretty rough.

There have been a few such predictions, and, all it would take it double the normal amount of people to decide to 'buy now before it's too late' to deplete the readily available inventory, which would lead to high demand, leading to ...price hikes.

Ive noticed here in the UK prices have been creeping up on most hardware. I paid £149 for my ryzen 5 3400g 2-3weeks ago,its now £190 and my mobo was £199 when I bought it,its now £235.

Europe prices were always high. US prices are even lower than Canada.
