Hello, I am currently running with AMD 1055T x6 6 core cpu. CPU-Z says that my processor name is AMD Phenom X2 b05, The specification says AMD 1055T x6. It also says that I have 2 cores but I should have 6. If I run resource monitor it shows 6 cores. I am running Windows 7 ultimate x64. Why does it say this?? I appreciate the help! 😀

Solution
The Phenom II X6 processors require a special power-supply feature, called "dual power-plane". It's supported by default in all native AM3 motherboards, however not in most AM2+ boards, even those advertised as "AM3 optimized" or "AM3 ready". The processor running below its nominal speed (i.e. at 800 MHz), clock and multiplier locked is a main symptom of this incompatibility. This is caused by the processor itself: when it detects that the motherboard does not supply dual power planes, the chip locks its multiplier to 4x.

You'll need a native AM3 board, or at least a BIOS update on your current board.

Thank you so much for help Woody! My current motherboard is an a Gigabyte 890GPA-UD3H. It says right on the box that it is AM3 ready. I just upgraded my power supply 2 weeks ago to a 600 W coolmaster TR2. My motherboard and CPU should be compatible. I just upgrade my bios to the latest version using the Q-flash utility but it still did not fix my issue? Did I buy the wrong power supply? Is my mother board not compatible with this processor? I find that hard to believe because it says right on the box that it should work. Is it possible that the cpu isn't getting enough power? Should i tweak the voltage? Any more help would be great.

Here is a pict of HWMonitor. I believe all of them are running. What are your thoughts? http://
