Alright, well, I had JUST gotten that CPU and hard drive two or three months ago.

**When I play CERTAIN games like Sleeping Dogs, BF3, Dead Island or another high demanding game I get this irritating noise.
That was just some random information that I also have a problem with^ A fast paced ticking noise btw.

ANYWAY. I kind of want to upgrade the CPU and MAYBE the hard drive. Is there a really good intel CPU cheap under 300 or 200$?

That's how much I have to buy. I have to pay rent in a few days. Please help me. :bounce:

For a good intel CPU just for gaming , I would suggest either the i5 2500k or the i5 3570k. If you want a new hard drive , try the Western Digital Black. If you don't want any noise from the hard drive , you can get an SSD if you want but they are more expensive than hard drives.

The most important thing in all of that is money.

Gimme prices.

No, the i5 3570K is necessarily the best option - if he is an overclocker he'd like the 2500K better because it runs much cooler than the 3570K when overclocking. Anyway, I'd recommend the 2500K/3570K too, both run at about 220$, then throw in a roughly 120$ Z77 motherboard that'll support it & if you're gonna replace the hard drive, go with an SSD for Windows & a WD Green drive for primary storage.
