I am building a new computer and it wont post. I have already tried the checklist of not posting but i domt know if this applies. So all I have on my motherboard is the cables connected to the power supply, the power on switch for the case of my computer, and the cpu. I turn on the power switch and i still do not hear no beep indicating the cpu is working.

You need to have one stick of ram at least. Maybe the one you used is defective, try another stick of ram if you have one. Other than that, as long as fans and lights are on, it means the psu is good, then the only other options are mobo and cpu. Reseat the cpu just to make sure that is installed correctly and go over all mobo cables again.

I have just finished reinstalling and uninstalling my mobo cables ( my power supply cable, case switch and reset switch, and the cpu fan) in addition to my 2 sticks of ram. I still am not hearing any BIOS beeps.
