Win 10 home ... fully updated.
For the last month or so when i power up my laptop, within moments after booting ... the cpu goes to 100% and the fan kicks into high speed mode. In an effort to see what's going on, I open task manager. When I do, I see cpu usage at 100% but it then very quickly drops to 5% or whatever before i can see what process was running. Leaving task manager on and getting on with things ... CPU operates as expected but ... if I turn task manager off, the CPU starts racing again!
It's not a huge deal to leave Task manager running in the background but I would like to solve this if possible. Any suggestions?
