CPU, RAM and MOBO Upgrade Thoughts

So my current specs are:

PSU - EVGA 600w 80+
CPU - i5 4690
GPU - GTX 1070 G1 Gaming 8gb
RAM - 16GB HyperX DDR3 1833MHz
MOBO - Gigabyte H81M-H
Storage - 2 x 1 TB HDD

My thoughts on an upgrade:

CPU - i5 8600k
RAM - G.SKILL TridentZ RGB Series 16GB (2 x 8GB) DDR4 3000
MOBO - ASRock Z370 Extreme4 LGA 1151

Will this help improve gaming ability and assist with streaming?

Yes to both.
You will get higher clocks and more threads.

Considering the small price differential, look at the i5-9600K which has a soldered heat spreader and is likely to oc better.
I would also buy a z390 based motherboard.
To boost your hard drive performance, spend $40 on a 32gb optane ssd which will act as a cache for your windows hard drive
