Hello, I have a i7-9700 8-Core CPU. This CPU has been fine for the last 4 months whilst running Fortnite, Discord, Spotify and Chrome at once. I get about 75% CPU usage whilst running this, which is okay. Today, I got onto Fortnite, and my FPS would hard drop from 240FPS to like 120 or 60FPS. I checked my CPU usage and it was 100%, closed Fortnite, still 100%, restated PC, still 100%. I looked at the start with no programs except for Discord, 100%. Looked at just chrome open, 100%. Any app is taking 100%.
There used to be a barrier between background processes. This has now merged with my current apps. What's wrong and how do I fix this?
