CPU really low and i cant change it

Hello guys

Basically my pc is messing up, i recently noticed in my fps and was so irritated , then i was looking at my cpu frequency and it was on 2.200ghz . My pc specs will be listed below

Ryzen 2700X
GTX 1080
12gb DDR4
Asus x470 f gaming strix
Genome ii liquid cooled case
cx600 cpu
ssd
HDD
I bought the 1080 like a few days ago. When i try to change the frequency with ryzen master it changes back after a few minutes

clock speed will vary unless load is heavy and constant...

Run Prime95/blended, and see if clock speed stays elevated to near max turbo during it..

i cant because i cant change it because it changes it back again right aftert

it may be thermal throttling so test that before you try other things usually a cpu wont just stop turbo'ing

im on 2.200 ghz and i cant change it , i want to go back to 3.8ghz it cant handle that as max boost is 4.3
