I am upgrading my pc but can't really decide which CPU to choose from that two 12100f or 12400f

My main question is, is it worth it to buy 12400f instead of buying 12100f in case of a GPU bottleneck?

CPU options: 12100f or 12400f
RAM: 16 DDR4 3600
VIDEO: 3060 12GB RAM
MOBO: MSI PRO Z690-A
PSU: EVGA 550 B5 550 W 80+

Get a B660 chipset board as opposed to a Z series chipset. I'd look into a non F suffix i5 if I were you. You're also going to have to up the wattage on the PSU...the RTX3060 can draw more power than it's advertised/suggested by GPU maker.

another qustion.

RAM with 3600 MHz wont be a problem right? because I already have it, just interested if it will run, not really care if I will be able to use full potential of RAM

Admirable
MSI PRO B660-A or MSI PRO B660M-P

One is ATX another is micro ATX both support 4800+ MHz but I am not overclocking type, more of plug and play
I would go with a 12400 and the MSI PRO B660-A board (if you don't need mATX), the 12100 is a superb low budget CPU, but the 12400 will likely serve you longer. A pair of DDR4-3600 RAM in either 16GB or 32GB (if specially needed; 16GB should be enough for your system normally) will do well, sll you need to doo is press the big RAM button(you really can't miss it...) in the upper left section of the BIOS and that's it for its activation, nothing else to do. I would recommend a 650W PSU for your RTX 3060.
