[SOLVED] CPU red led

So my b450 tomahawk mobo is showing the ryzen 3600 cpu has a red led on it. What could this mean? Ive screwed my heatsink with all the four screws tightly, placed the cpu in correctly, what am i doing wrong? This only happened after i was on the windows 10 installation screen on my new pc. Pls help.

Have you confirmed the motherboard's BIOS has been updated to support 3000 series CPUs?
Unless you bought the Tomahawk-MAX, it likely has an older BIOS revision on it.

So i got a defective motherboard for 110 bucks? Im gonna take a break. Thanks for replying man, appreciate the information still.

No, not "defective".
B450 launched with 2000 series CPUs and is not compatible with 3000 series CPUs without a BIOS update.
