Hello everyone,I think I have a problem....I have an d 925,and whenever I'm browsing,or even looking at task manager,without doing anything,the cpu stands in 50-60%......Is there a problem,or just thats how d 925 is....And another problem,I also have 4gb ram and gt630,and I can bearly run TF2 with 15-20 fps....basically unplayable....any thoughts?

Your processor is the almost the exact minimum recommended for TF2, they recommend an Intel Pentium 4 @ 3.0 GHz, and yours is basically just a dual-core version of the same processor, however since TF2 probably only takes advantage of a single core, your processor is just being overworked, probably the same reason your CPU is running at 60-70%, though that depends on what kind of background processes are running at the time. The video card is newer, but I don't know enough to say whether or not it's good enough to run TF2 at anything higher than 15-20 fps. Even if it is, the CPU is likely causing the issue.

I run nothing in background, just tf2...plus before I had and i3 ivy bridge(don't remember which) and with t630 I could run tf2 at 60 fps with everything on max...And I think you didn't understand me,in idle it stands at 50-60%,and in load at 100%...even when I wait for a vid to load it stands in 100%...

No, I get what you're saying, it's just what I'm saying is a Pentium D is a very old processor at this point. An i3 Ivy bridge is a much newer processor, and would be able to handle a lot more. The fact that with an i3 IB you were able to run TF2 on max just proves what I was saying about the processor being the problem. When you say d 925, you do mean a Pentium D 925, right? With a Pentium D at this point, depending on the OS you're running, I'm not surprised it's at that kind of load at idle, because there are always processes going on in the background.

I play on everything low,dx 8.1,lowest rez,4:3,everything on low....I heard on the internet of some scripts that make the graphics uglier, but it will be more smoothly....
