I have a Intel Pentium G2030 @ 3.00GHz and i want to replace it for a Intel Core Skylake Processor i5-6500/3.2 GHz Processor CPU, but I don't know if the size will be different can someone please help?
If it's a Dell it something like that then you have to pick a CPU their bios will work with. If this is custom pc the best CPU you can put in that board (at best) is a i7 3770. Would need to exact board to confirm but you have an ivy bridge cpu so you can only buy ivy or sandybridge
Size isn't really it, it's socket type. Your chip uses LGA 1155, and Skylake is LGA 1151. To make that upgrade you'll have to get a new motherboard and new ram in addition to the processor.
