CPU Replacement Question

I want to replace my cpu, I have an Intel msi 975x platinum Powerup Edition. The Sockett is LGA775 and the FSB options are 1066/800/533. Question, is FSB and Clock Speed the same, or not? and does anyone have any suggestions, I'm on a little budget :/

Oh I apologize I have a dual core processor, it is the intel E6300 @ 1.86 GHz

Yes that is a quad core and your board supports it. Getting another core 2 dual core isn't going to do a lot for you. With your board, a Q6600 is the best chip for the $$.
