i'm planning on an athlon 1600 with a dragon+. i don't plan on ocing it. i am looking for stability. is the hsf fan that comes with the cpu good enough or should i go oem cpu and buy a hsf. is copper the way to go for hs? i would like something quiet. not sure of my case yet but am leaning towards an antec 840 or 1040. what are your thoughts? thanks!

The stock HSF is fine, but I tend to recommend buying an OEM processor and a better HSF since it won't cost you anymore. Here's a good site for HSF reviews: Dansdata.

As for the case, I'd definitely get the SX1040. I have one as do some of my friends and it's great. There's nothing wrong with the SX840, except that they have molding for a floppy drive, I don't have a floppy drive, and they're getting rid of the floppy drive.
