[SOLVED] CPU running faster than overclocked speed

I recently overclocked my cpu to 4.4 but every time I open task manager its running right around 5.5. Am I asking too much of a 5-year-old i-5?

It's an i5-4690k 3.5 GHz

Well I re-overclocked my cpu, lowered the cpu power a little and changed it from dynamic to fixed and now task manager says 4.37. and CPU-Z says 4.39. Looks all good now. Do you think i could push the speed higer.
Currently 4.4GHz 1.23V

You can push more...just make sure you're using a reliable stability test like prime95 running for a couple hours. If you're stable doing that teat and while gaming then lock in the OC and enjoy...if not stable then you'll have to decide on the volts vs heat balance you're comfortable with.
