Hey All,
So recently I opened up my 2 month old laptop, (it is a sager/clevo chassis so it was quite easy) just to check out the insides. I was very careful not to touch any parts (or so I think) as to not damage them, but there seems to be an issue. Before I had opened up my laptop, my CPU would run at about 35-45 degrees Celsius idle, but now it is at a consistent 75-80 degrees at idle. The fan is working, and even if I turn my fans on maximum speed the CPU stays at the same temperature, no difference. Also I doubt it is the sensor because I can feel heat coming out just as if it were running at the given temperatures (75-80 C) Under load from games the CPU only heats up about 2-3 degrees more than at idle. What could be the issue?

Thanks

Solution
I have figured out the problem; it was a virus on my computer stressing my CPU, I just ran an antivirus and cleanup and now it is back to normal. Glad it's not a physical/hardware issue.
