Hi all,
Recently upgraded my Gigabyte 78LMT-USB3 motherboard to a MSI 970 Gaming. The change went fine for two days until my 500w psu blew. I bought a new corsair 600w one and the system is up and running again with one slight issue. My AMD FX 8350 CPU is running a lot hotter than it used to on the old motherboard. I am using the same Nocuta NH-9US cooler and have replaced the thermal paste and re-seated the heatsink a few times now in order to try and solve the problem. This has come to no avail.
Before, on the old mobo, the cpu idled at around 30C and maybe up to 55C while gaming, but now it idles at around 45-50C and has reached 71C during a test playing Fallout 4. It also has random 10-15 degree jumps while idling.
I have read that 60C is the safe maximum for the FX 8350 and would be scared to just leave the problem and use it at 60+. Would a different mobo cause it to run hotter? Is it a fault with the sensors either in the old mobo or the new one?
Does anyone have any advice on this issue?

GPU: EVGA Geforce GTX 750Ti FTW
