Question CPU runs at 100% when playing Fortnite ?

Hello everyone,
I have a problem, when I play Fornite the CPU runs at 100% while graphic card is max on 1%. I tried to switch in game settings to DirectX 11, but remains the same problem. Before on high settings with Lumen game it worked well. I tried Resident Evil 4 Remake on high settings and had no problem. Don't know why exactly Fornite has this trouble.

My specs:

RTX 2060 Super 8 GB
Intel Core i5 9600k
16GB Ram

Try and run DDU to remove all GPU drivers(Intel, AMD and Nvidia) from your platform, then manually reinstall the latest GPU driver sourced from Nvidia's support site, in an elevated command, i.e, Right click installer>Run as Administrator.

When posting a thread of troubleshooting nature, it's customary to include your full system's specs. Please list the specs to your build like so:

include the age of the PSU apart from it's make and model. BIOS version for your motherboard at this moment of time.

Hey there

Are you using Geforce Experience to optimize games? If not disable it, and test again.

Are all system drivers, including chipset up to date. Are you using the latest GPU driver? Uninstall it with DDU, and then reinstall fresh. See if that helps.

Also, what power plan are you using?
