I'm fairly new to PC building and just built my first PC so if I come across as oblivious I apologize. I have the Intel i7 7700k which when I runs games will run graphics opposed to my gtx 1060. I have the GPU plugged in to the power supply so I'm not entirely sure why I can't get it to run graphics. Instead, it runs the CPU which shows up as the Intel(R) Graphics 630 in game. If you know of any potential fixes please reply, thanks.

Solution
on new build you have to install intel chipset drivers for the mb chipset to work right. on the mb the 8/4 pin cpu/gpu power plug must be filled. on the gpu make sure all of the power plugs are filled. some gpu have one 6 pin port some have none some have two. make sure the gpu on the top video slot and it clicked and locked in. once it locked in go into the bios make sure the mb has the newest bios file. if it old. download the bios file to a usb stick.plug the stick in and boot into the bios and use the bios updater. after set primany display to peg/pci and mulit monitor support yo on. that should turn on both gpus. if the new gpu is working fine you can turn off muilt monitor support.
