which motherboards support the new i7 3770 k ivybridge cpu so i can start looking thanks will the board i have now work it is a p67a gd53 b3 by msi 😱

You want a Z77 mobo for that cpu.

The cpu support list for your P67 does not show ivy bridge cpu support, but that doesn't mean for sure there's not a bios update that will work.

I would contact MSI tech support and ask if there is a bios update that will allow i7-3770K.

If there is a bios update for that cpu, you will need to update the bios with your old cpu before installing the new one.

What cpu do you have now by the way?
