CPU Smart Protection causing issues

I have an MSI 970 Gaming and an FX 8370. MY issue is; when I have CPU smart protection enabled my CPU is throttled to almost nothing. With prime95 running i only have about 30% utilization. With it DISABLED i have 100% utilization. My issue presents itself when trying to control core voltage. With CPU protection enabled I am able to set static values on the clock even if its just to default of 4.0ghz. But the voltages do whatever they want. even if I set a static value. Any insight would be appreciated. Thanks

That motherboard lacks load-line calibration options found on better AM3+ motherboards. For the price it goes for, it isn't your ideal OC motherboard.

Is that whats throwing my voltages out of wack? Load line calibration? I'm somewhat of a novice so I'm not entirely familiar with some of the terms and their definitions

I called MSI yesterday and they seem to think its a problem with the heat sensor. Just wanted to follow up incase someone else is having the same issue.
