Hello everyone

Recently I cleaned my rig. Since then when I turn on the pc, it starts normal with less noise and as soon it get to windows login screen. I hear fans running at max (that's what I feel) and it stays throughout. I have attached a snap shot of my bios screen.

Running games and programs work normal. Haven't noticed crashes or reboot. Been playing ac odyssey for a month now.

I am really worried if my cpu is getting overheated due to this. Please advise

My specs:
Asus m5a97 r2.0
FX 8350 @4ghz (not overclocked)
Zotac GTX 1060 6gb
16gb of ram
2tb x2 Seagate barracuda
500gb Seagate (for the os)
Corsair vs 650w
Cooler master k380 cabinet

Yes. I unplugged the setup to blow out the dust and fitted it back the same way.

Does "unplugged the setup" mean you took the motherboard out?

Yes, I removed the motherboard out and fitted it back.

You could have knocked the CPU cooler in some way, effecting its contact with the CPU possibly. It might be worth taking it off, cleaning the old thermal paste off and reapplying it.

But like i said get something to monitor the temps (speedfan) to see if its actually getting hot or its just a fan speed control/software issue.

Gotcha, will try this out and share the results

I am yet to reapply the thermal paste.

Here are the attached snapshot of cpu states in idle and the video that shows the loud noise when I power up the cpu. Earlier it use to have increased noise only when running games. Now it's like that in idle. Its like the fans are running at full speed.

Could you please check if my cpu stats are normal. I have attached the snapshot of them. Thanks

Ok those temps are fine, i would suggest you check your BIOS settings. see what the CPU fan target speed/temp is. The BIOS will default to 100% to prevent damage to the CPU.

Here is snapshot from my bios settings screen. For some reason the fans never cross 1500 rpm. I don't know if the fan that comes with hyper 212x offer greater speeds

I also tried disconnecting three 120 mm fans (pics below)

and did a test run with just hyper 212 cooler and see the stats below. The cpu is lot quieter now

Just wanted to share all possible information. I believe the fans are the reason beyond the loud noise as you see from this video

Please guide me with info on what needs to be done to ensure proper cooling and functioning. Appreciate all your help on this!

Edit: please let me know if I can do anything to make these fans quieter.

Never thought I would say this....but there is not even a single person who is out here to help me on this or correct me if I have gone wrong ....thanks fellas.. for all your kind support
