Cpu stuck to heatsink

like the the title says my cpu is stuck to my heat sink im not worried about ruining it i ordered a new one i just dont want to have to buy a new heat sink

warm it up with a hair dryer and it should come of easy.

or run the pc , and then remove it while its still hot

But then depending on the compound you used ..............

well i didnt use a compound its still stock and i cant warm it up because the pins are bent thats why i ordered i new one i will try the hair dryer in a bit

ok so the hairdryer worked do i need to clean the rest of the thermal compound of the heat sink or can i just leave it there. And does any have a tip on how not to bend the pins when i put the new processor in?

Clean the heatsink with a paper coffee filter and 90% or higher pure isopropyl alcohol.
