Hey y'all, I just got a new computer case and cooler to put my PC components in, but when I tried to take my CPU cooler out (a Wraith Spire), my r7 1700 was stuck to it. For hours I've tried dabbing isopropyl alcohol on the places I can, using a hairdryer to loosen it up, and twisting it to no avail. Any tips guys? Never had this problem, and it's kinda freaking me out haha.

Put your CPU back in properly, and run some stress tests. Often heating it up helps with separating the two.

Edit: You used a hair dryer. I don't think that thing is trying to pump anywhere near the same heat your processor is capable of. Additionally, it won't even touch the unexposed areas in any meaningful way. Trust me here, stress test heatup is a go to for stuck CPU heatsinks.
