cpu suddenly very stressed in gaming

my brand new a8-7670k started acting really weird getting 100% usage in games i used to play smoothly a couple of days ago. for example mgs 5 was smooth 60fps at 1080p high settings now it hardly gets to 55 and flactuates and cpu usage is 100% for all cores

and i just got overwatch which i should easily get 60 on 1080p but only works at 720p low settings.

how can i troubleshoot this problem?
my gpu is r7 370

Did you make sure that somehow the cores and threads did not get capped if they get capped that can cause a huge problem and restarting the computer can fix it if not there is a option in the BIOS under the overclocking area to enable the Cores and Threads to use all of em.

i restarted multiple times since the problem started and got a new windwos and formatted the C partition, can you explain more the bios thing?

I dont think that MOBO allows core/thread enabling and disabling, so therefore you cant fix the issue with the MOBO solution and the only way is hoping that eventually it will automatically fix cause i dont know any other way to fix it without the MOBO solution. :/ sorry also did you make sure the Cores and Threads are all being used if not check using MSI Afterburner.

Open MSI go to settings Monitor settings and click CPU 1, 2, ETC usage and if it shows all the cores then it is using them all.

Open MSI go to settings Monitor settings and click CPU 1, 2, ETC usage and if it shows all the cores then it is using them all.

actually im usign amd overdrive to monitor heat adn suage and all four cores are 100% when im playing overwatch and the game keeps frame dropping like crazy,
any other ideas?
i was thinking of benchmarking and comparing to other 7670k cpu but cant find the program or website for it.

Hmmmmmm Thats odd, i would reset the CPU, re-apply Thermal Compound, and reset Heatsink to see if this fixes the Issue if not im not to sure what can be causing it.

by reset you meaning remove from mobo and reinsert? or software thing?
