Cpu support list

I have this cpu intel i7 920 and i want to buy this motherboard H81M-DGS R2.0
but i search on the cpu support list doesn't have this cpu...
what can i do and what that means

That cpu has socket 1366 and the motherboard is 1150. They are not compatible.

That's a list of LGA1366 motherboards, but I see no PRICES so I guess you can't buy new (not surprising).

The list may help you look for USED boards though it's doubtful you'll have much luck. I think that CPU is about eight years old or so.

I think that would work. I found many "LGA 1366" boards at EBay but almost none that were desktop with PCIe x16 slot (for graphics card) etc.

Maybe time to scrap that system and build a new one?

You can probably SELL your CPU and if budget is tight there are some good options depending on what components you want to keep.

My favorite low-budget option is the G4560 (2C/4T) Pentium with 2x4GB DDR4 memory etc.
