Cpu supports DDR4 2133Mhz... Can i go higher?

Soon i'm upgrading my motherboard and cpu to a new intel i3 6100. On the info it says that it supports up to DDR4 2133 Mhz my question is, Would it affect anything is i got with 2400Mhz ram or higher?

Yes you can go above 2133 MHz as long as your motherboard supports it.

You may or may not be able to run the ram at 2400 mhz but it won't hurt anything to put 2400 mhz ram in it and run it at 2133.
