[SOLVED] CPU swap 3950x to 5950x

Through a somewhat happenstance opportunity, I snagged a Ryzen 5950x from nearby Microcenter for MSRP.

I'm planning a simple swap keeping all other components the same. I've had my ASUS Crosshair VIII Formula X570 updated to series 5000 compatible BIOS for several months just in case.

Wondering if there's any concern for doing a fresh Windows 10 Pro install...???

You dont need to do a fresh reinstall of windows.
If you updated the BIOS, ur all good!

CPU upgrades into compatible motherboard and the appropriate up-to-date BIOS should be a drop-in replacement.
