Hey there everyone

So, I've bought a new gaming PC with i5 CPU and my previous computer was an All in one computer with an i7 processor I was wondering if i could swap them.
Please help

Solution
I apologize for confusing you about the CPU. I wasnt checking the CPu of my AIO correctly, it was a i7 6700 but yea i think the i7 wont go with the 1155
the older i7s have been replaced by 10th gen i3s. It's still a great cpu, much much better than the i5, but that 6th gen cpu asks for 1151 chipset board and ddr4 ram

Sorry for the confusion guys i didnt mean that the PC was brand new, my bad.
What if i just take the i7 from my AIO off and then just put that into the PC i just bought?

Well, he said 4700k, that doesn't exist. I expect an i7 4700mq from AIO pc. If it's a true 4770k find a cheap z97 board (very cheap) and throw that i5 with 1155 board away

So the AIO computer is a Intel i7- 4700k
and the new gaming PC is Intel i5 - 3470

for my new PC it has Huananzhi B75 Socket 1155 as a motherboard
but i am not sure about the all in one PC
You can't put a 4770k or 4770 (I'm assuming its either one of those since the 4700k doesn't exist) on a motherboard for a 3470, you have to get a z97 board.

No, you can't. It's a different socket and architecture
Different architecture is fine, motherboards support CPUs across different architectures all the time as long as the socket remains the same and the CPU manufacturer does not artificially break or otherwise limit compatibility - there are Chinese LGA1151 motherboards that support all Intel CPUs from 6000-series through 9000-series including their Xeon counterparts.

Different sockets is a no-go for what should be obvious reasons.

Well, that was easier than explaining why are there that much 1151 boards, some being compatible and others not :ROFLMAO: Sorry for that
