CPU Temp #4 88 Celsius?

I just randomly decided to check my temperatures on my PC and found this and I am worried idk if I should be or not.

As you can see the temperature on #4 is really high but the cores are all normal. I have nothing running at this time either.

Really? I have never had this issue and Ive had the PC for about a year. How would the thermal paste of gotten messed up?

Well if you are all of a sudden experiencing temperature issues then it may be the thermal paste.

OpenHardWare Monitor It says all the Core temps, GPU temps and HDD temps are all good its just that one Temp #4 thats stupid high.

Maybe your thermal paste isn't correctly spread out

I guess ill just wait and see if my computer starts to act up. If it does I'll reapply thermal paste to it.

There is a problem with the thermal sensor or the way the software is reading it. According to the internal CPU sensor the core #4 temperature is 34 degrees.

So then my PC is fine? a sensor just isnt working properly?

Probably a software bug. Try HWMonitor, if you get the same temps, then one of the sensors are messed up.

HW monitor says my highest temp is 40 degrees C
