CPU temp. exceeding limits HElp Pls. Pentium E5400

Hey I have a very old rig but it's still serving my gaming purpose.
So i just Checked Temp of my CPU
i.e Intel Pentium E5400 @2.7 Ghz (stock) no overclocking has been tried yet and i was having idle temp of around 50 degree Celsius which is very hogh for my PC even With cabinet opened and when i play max payne 3 it rises to 85 degree max which i have seen and and around 80 degree c which is very high so ihave only stock cpu heat sink no aftermarket one and also i ahve this PC for around 4 yrs and have not Reapplied any thermal paste on it. Should i need to aplly again thermal paste but there is some thermal status in BIOS which states it's OK. So i m right its not thermal status
I really need help regarding this problem .

First clean cooler and make sure fan operates correctly if not enough re-seat with new Thermal Paste.

One of your problems might be that your PC is inside a cabinet? Not enough airflow, and stock coolers aren't that great to begin with, applying new thermal paste and getting an aftermarket cooler would do you wonders.

That is not normal, I have stock fan with fully overclocked and it does not even go past 60 while playing very demanding games. My suggestion would be to check airflow and aply new thermal paste. The max the cpu is supposed to go to is 74 so you are damaging it
